RWANDA: INTRODUCING THE ‘CLUB OF EVIL’ (Kayumba, Rudasingwa, Karegeya & Gahima)

THE CLUB OF EVIL

People who have behaved in a certain way at one point in time are likely to do so again, so says a study released in 1999 by two imminent researchers from two of the leading US universities. The scientists analysed why humans tend to repeat the same things that they have grown up with even when they have caused painful consequences. This is what is happening with four men whom history has not taught anything!
In the many dossiers we have promised to publish, this current one will give you never-before-public information about four men that have of late been in the news apparently “working tirelessly” to take “democracy” to Rwanda. The names Kayumba Nyamwasa, Theogene Rudasingwa, Gerald Gahima and Patrick Karegeya are surely not knew to you.
We will not waste your time on who they were before their old-selves came hunting for them. These men are not who they want you to believe. They claim to want democracy and all the niceties they pretend to espouse for Rwanda. WOW! It is this that raised our curiosity about these men.
The Exposer has given itself the obligation to provide you with the details behind the lives of each of these CLUB OF EVIL members. Our understanding, as emphasised by the researchers sited above, is that this CLUB has been able to wrongly woo the few followers they have as a result of their ability to hide the tracks of their dirty past.
The information on our desk we will help you know why they do what they are doing; to understand why they were not able to live by the rules and instead wanted to be demi-gods; to know why even the slight mention of the rule of law sounds like an insult to them; and so many other disturbing vices.
What they are doing shows they never learnt from their past. Even when it is said that experience is the best teacher; it does not apply to these four men. They are convinced that they have to be at the top; no matter whether they are performing or not.
The details we will give on this CLUB tells of people who are happy to knowing do the wrong things, no matter the consequences – even if they affect the lives of a whole community.
But why would somebody choose to do only the wrong things all through their life? The research we quoted at the beginning of this article shows that these men are going through what is termed as ‘Biased Scanning’.
In other words, as authors Janis and King (1954) explain, after people have engaged in a particular behavior they often conduct a biased search of memory for previously acquired knowledge that confirms the legitimacy of their act.
For example, they might simply assume that the conditions that led to their earlier behavior exist in the present situation as well and might repeat the behavior without bothering to verify this assumption.
Here is how this theory applies to this CLUB OF EVIL. They were able to step in the rights of so many people when they were in Rwanda, and then the law caught up with them. And because they cannot accept something is wrong, they would prefer to leave.
What they are doing now is try to come back to Rwanda such that they can continue with the same impunity they exerted without anybody asking them for answers. One thing they have forgotten so fast is that the Rwanda is now is not the former!
All through the coming days, weeks and months, we will give you the history of each of the CLUB OF EVIL partners such that you will be able to understand their intentions.
